A provider who is certified in women's health is important because they have specialized training and expertise in caring for female patients.
Women have unique healthcare needs and a provider who is certified in women's health is trained to address these needs efficiently and effectively. Certified women's health providers have in-depth knowledge of reproductive and gynecological health which allows them to provide comprehensive care, counseling, and support to promote women's health and well-beingÂ
1. Women's health providers include obstetricians and gynecologists, certified nurse-midwives, and women's health nurse practitioners
 2. These providers offer preventive services, family planning, prenatal care, infertility treatment, and other women's health services. Studies have shown that women who receive care from certified women's health providers have better health outcomes as compared to those who do not.
