Symptoms of Post Menopause

Menopause is a natural biological process.  The physical symptoms, such as hot flashes, and emotional symptoms of menopause may disrupt your sleep, lower your energy or affect emotional health. There are many effective treatments available, from lifestyle adjustments to hormone therapy.

Post-Menopause

Bio-Identical Hormone Therapies, Lab assessments, Complete Wellness Check, Bio-Marker testing Due to the fact that estrogen levels fall during menopause, women often experience a variety of uncomfortable symptoms. These may include hot flashes, vaginal dryness, discomfort with intercourse, and more. The most effective treatment for menopause symptoms is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), which is provided by our expert team at Essential Woman. If you are looking for relief from menopause symptoms, our providers will work with you to determine whether or not HRT is right for you.

Urinary Incontinence

At Essential Woman our team will complete a full evaluation to determine the type and severity of your urinary incontinence and what type of treatment may be beneficial for you.

Urinary incontinence evaluation often includes checking a sample of the urine for abnormalities (urinalysis) and diary of episodes.

Pelvic Floor Exercises

The benefits of pelvic floor exercises are many. At Essential Woman we use this non-invasive, non-surgical treatment to strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles and provide hope to women struggling with incontinence, overactive bladder, sexual dysfunction, and other issues.

Pelvic floor exercises are not painful and cannot harm you in any way. Exercising your pelvic floor muscles for just five minutes a few times each day can make a difference. If you are pregnant, pelvic floor exercises help your body adjust to the baby’s weight and your muscles heal after birth.

Sexual Functions

The prevalence of sexual dysfunction among all women is estimated to be between 25% and 63%; the prevalence in postmenopausal women is even higher, with rates between 68% and 86.5%.

Sexual dysfunction includes pain during intercourse, involuntary painful contraction (spasm) of the muscles around the vagina, and lack of interest in (desire for) sex and problems with arousal or orgasm. For a sexual dysfunction disorder to be diagnosed, these problems must cause distress to a woman.  Essential Woman has several treatment options to relieve the symptoms related to sexual dysfunction.

PTNS Therapy

Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation is a therapy to assist with Overactive Bladder Syndrome.  It shows incredible success in patients with urinary incontinence  in about 8 weeks after treatment.

Percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation is a minimally invasive, drug-free option for treating the symptoms of overactive bladder. The goal of this procedure is to modify signals from the sacral nerves (S3) to help stabilize bladder function, and allow patients to regain bladder control.
