Staying Healthy For The Holidays

By Holly McDonald, RN

Hello again everyone! I’m Holly McDonald, a Registered Nurse with Essential Woman LLC located right here in Ocala, FL.

Today, I would like to talk about how you can feel your very best with the upcoming Holiday Season. As you know, with the crazy, busy schedule of the Holidays, we traditionally as women burn the candle at both ends. Working, taking care of our families and all that it entails with grocery shopping, meal preparation, chauffeuring the kids everywhere, laundry,

and cleaning the home.

Now, with the upcoming Holiday Season, we have the additional stress of gift shopping, meal planning and big family meal preparation. We, as women have a tendency to attend to our personal needs last. We don’t get enough sleep, we don’t eat properly. We are endlessly running around trying to stay ahead.

All of you ladies know what I’m talking about, right?

Well, feeling exhausted, can open up the potential for depleting our immune system, increasing the possibility of coming down with a cold, and having the flu attack us when we are less likely to fight off the symptoms. Yet we still push through, despite feeling poorly, creating an increase to recover time we can’t afford to lose during the chaotic Holiday Season.

At Essential Woman, LLC, we can help you combat fatigue, the feeling of being depleted, body aches, headaches, coughing and sneezing. We believe in not only a proactive approach to help you avoid becoming ill, but can help support your immune system to shorten the illness, exhaustion, and discomfort.

At Essential Woman, we can provide you with a naturopathic way, natural remedies to help you combat cold and flu symptoms, and to help you feel better quickly! There are many naturopathic treatments that can help you feel better.

Here are some of the most effective ones:

1. Proper Hydration: Drinking plenty of water and electrolytes like sodium and potassium aren’t always enough to help you stay hydrated and fight off pathogens . IV nutrition therapy will provide essential, physical support that your body needs. Directly into your system!

2. IV Nutrition can provide you with Glutathione, the master antioxidant your body produces, but is often depleted. High-dose Vitamin C, a quintessential vitamin that will strengthen your immune system to fight off colds and flu! MIC+, is a multi-level cocktail of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that go to work building, restoring and strengthening your immune system.

3. Proper diet, of course, is always important including adding elderberry and ginger, which reduce inflammation and relieve pain associated with cold and flu symptoms.

4. Injections as well as IV therapy will help you to increase your energy, provide you with antioxidant protection and build your immune system to maintain that healthy, strong, and “feeling great” physical state allowing you to look forward while enjoying the Holiday season with family and friends.

As always, it is important to understand that if you are experiencing severe symptoms, or have pre-existing medical conditions, to consult with a medical professional. Cindy Lombard, Essential Woman’s Nurse Practitioner is here to evaluate and formulate a plan to give you the tools to be the best that you can be.

Call or come in to see us here at Essential Woman! We are women providing the best health and wellness care to women! We care about you, and we are here to help you be the very best you can be, without ridiculously expensive costs!
